On February 16, the Committee on Economic Development and Emerging Technologies convened a public hearing to examine several bills related to stem cell research. These bills were filed to bring forth public comment on whether Massachusetts should allow the scientific and research community to use human embryonic stem cells as a method to help fight diseases.

Hundreds of Runnders to Participate in “Race for Spinal Victory” at Jones Beach, Long Island on April 10 – Proceeds to Benefit Spinal Cord Injury.

The Long Island Spinal Cord Injury Resource Center, a project of the Testaverde Fund for Spinal Cord Injury will be holding its first annial Race for Spinal Victory, a 5K and 10 mile run at Jones Beach on April 10. Hundreds have pre-registered with tremendous support from the Long Island community. Proceeds will benefit spinal cord injury prevention, education, community outreach and research for a cure.
