About Jason Roy and the The Zero 2 a Hundred Foundation

About Jason: Jason Roy, a Houston, Texas native, attended Sharpstown High School and is a graduate of Texas Southern University. In 2003, Jason completed his Bachelors of Science in Administration of Justice, which was the prelude to his pursuit of a career in law enforcement. In 2006, Jason joined the Houston Police Department, where he would eventually be promoted to the Crime Reduction Unit of the Gang Division in 2008. He was a member of this elite force until his career came to an abrupt end after being involved in a near fatal, high speed chase while in the line of duty. On May 3, 2011, Jason found himself fighting for his life once more after becoming trapped in the wreckage of his squad car.

In the days immediately following the accident, Jason underwent multiple surgeries and suffered a major stroke. Once in stable condition, he learned that he was paralyzed from the neck down. This news was devastating to Jason but he fought through the physical pain, depression and feelings of defeat and embarked upon his journey to spiritual and physical restoration.

Determined to hold his son in his arms again, Jason worked tirelessly toward regaining his mobility. On July 7th, 2011, after several weeks of intense rehabilitation and physical therapy at Houston’s TIRR Memorial Hermann, Jason took his first steps into his new life’s work and responsibility to share his testimony of learning to walk again, both physically and with Christ.

Since retiring from the Houston Police Department in 2012, Jason Roy, turned Author, Inspirational Speaker and Founder of The Zero 2 a Hundred Foundation, has dedicated his life to sharing his story of tragedy to triumph to inspire those who have lost hope.
