Tim McGraw Sets Summer Tour Swing

McGraw and Billy Bob Thornton will play an April 10 concert in Austin, Texas, to benefit the Gridiron Heroes spinal cord injury organization. Peter Berg, director of the film “Friday Night Lights,” in which McGraw and Thornton star, is organizing the event.

Tim McGraw and his band will hit the road again this summer, playing mostly outdoor amphitheaters across the United States. The Tim McGraw and the Dancehall Doctors Out Loud Summer Tour 2004 will kick off June 11 in Virginia Beach, Va., and is set to close Aug. 1 in Nashville. Fellow country acts Big & Rich and the Warren Brothers have been tapped to open on the tour, which will be sponsored by Bud Light.
