Every day in Australia someone’s life changes in an instant due to a spinal cord injury.

Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Week (9 – 15 November 2014) is a national campaign highlighting spinal cord injury in the community. The week is relevant not only to people living with spinal cord injuries, their families and friends; but the broader community, venues and business.

During this week, the Australian Spinal Injury Alliance is working to highlight injury prevention, along with the common barriers that prevent social inclusion and what it means to have a spinal cord injury and still contribute to community life.

The Australian Spinal Injury Alliance represents eight major state-based spinal cord injury organisations, and was established to provide a national voice for all Australians who have a spinal cord injury.
